Ping Pong Power Pilot

Coach-Led Pilot • SIR

Autonomous Fitness — Technique First, Coach Delivered

SIR—the Progressive Weighted Aerobic Ping-Pong Exercise Racquet (US10166447B2), invented by Jules Apatini—to launch a phone-first, paperless fitness program built on table-tennis technique (expanding next to other racquet sports like pickleball).

Pilot Delivery (Coach-Led)

For the pilot phase, existing franchise coaches will deliver the program in place of the AerobicSDM app (while AerobicSDM is upgraded). The Aerobic Sports Dance & Music Exercises Group—President Jules Apatini and partners—will train the coaches to administer sessions and match intensity/complexity to every client level.

Vision

Build the first autonomous, technique-first fitness movement: table-tennis strokes + dance-like footwork = safe, scalable cardio for ages 8–98.

  • Delivered on-court by trained PingPod coaches during the pilot—no front desk, no paper.
  • Pilot to be run in franchised PingPods (Daniel & Jeremy) and brought to life on real courts with real customers.

Why Now

  • Proven autonomy: PingPod already handles booking, entry, and play via smartphone—minimal staff overhead.
  • Demand is shifting: People want low-impact, skill-based cardio; racquet sports—table tennis and pickleball—are booming.
  • Right hardware + content: SIR’s patented progressive-weight racquet (with phone mount) + video-driven curriculum turn classic strokes into structured interval workouts that track progress, build muscle memory, and teach real technique while you sweat.
  • Cultural tailwind: Holiday buzz around table tennis (e.g., A24’s Josh Safdie feature Marty Supreme) keeps the sport top-of-mind.

How It Works (Coach-Led Pilot)

  1. Technique first (coached): Coaches teach the core strokes with simple, 3-phase cues (Prep → Hit → Finish) and live corrections.
  2. Train with SIR: The progressive-weight racquet + phone mount guides tempo and form; coaches run intervals and can film hands-free for feedback.
  3. Intervals that matter: Short work/rest blocks chained into aerobic sets; coaches scale tempo, volume, and complexity from beginner to advanced.
  4. Autonomous flow around sessions: Members book a court, scan in, complete the coach-led block, and leave with actionable takeaways—no paper.

Action

Green-light the PingPod × SIR pilot: schedule coach training with Jules’s team, equip select NYC pods with SIR kits, and run a 4–6-week coach-led test while AerobicSDM is upgraded. If the metrics pop, roll across more pods—and expand to pickleball next.
